today I ran around to 3 different florists to get prices on flowers for the Valentine's Lunch on Monday. The winner was Flowerama. Tomorrow I have to pitch alstroemeria and rose petals to Mrs Hirni when I know she wants roses. I hope I can make it work. oh well.
Valentine's Day. oh man. As much as I hate the holiday, I still really wish that little girl dream would come true, that I would be romanced and all that. I've yet to have a boy who was truly romantic, who set things up and just really surprised me. I kinda wish I could have that once, so I would at least know what I'm missing. augh.

Dad update: he's doing a lot better. 5 more weeks on soft foods, and the swelling in his knee has gone down a lot. he actually managed to shovel the end of the driveway today. yay daddy!
In other news, my boy situation exists only in my mind and I wish to change that. I'm nto sure how yet. But I'll keep you posted. I get the most random, dumb crushes. oh jeez. he's just so damn cute!

fucked. up. night.
my dad went to mcdonalds today to get some coffee with some guys he talks to on his trucker radio, and while he was there this psycho heard on the radio he was coming, and stormed it and attacked my dad. he kicked him in the knee (my dad has two really bad knees), and while he was going down, the asshole put his hand in my dad's mouth and tried to tear his teeth out, breaking his jaw in the process. so my dad went to the hospital, and now he has weird structures in his mouth holding his bottom teeth in place so theyll stabilize because theyre really loose, a big gash in his mouth that keeps bleeding from the dude's fingernail, and of course a broken jaw. plus, his knee is all kinds fo fucked up so he has this big pseudo-cast thing that prevents him from bending his knee at all.
SO I went to pick him up at the dentist because obviously he cant drive, and then I dropped off his prescriptions at the pharmacy, and then we came home and i went on a mad hunt for crutches but we dont have any anymore, and now here i am.
this is so fucked up. I cant even describe how pissed off I am at this psycho fucking running into a mcdonalds like a madman and assaulting my father. what the fuck.

today was good.
the only downside is all this success at work makes it really hard to get myself back in school mode for next semester. I don't need anyone to tell me how important it is that I finish and graduate, I know all this, so please don't nag me, it's the last thing I need.
Then I went to the hockey game/BJ's/Christopher's/house of Stacey for some fun and some harassing of the boy. It's good to be back.
on a sadder note, the friendships that were established over this summer seem to be fading away fast and I'm not quite sure there's anything I can do about it. :-\

So tonight after work, I was sitting around thinking about what a dumb bitch Stacey is. I mean, I spent a year with the girl, and then all of a sudden, we just hate each other. It was all for nothing. And this really started to piss me off. So I decided that the only way to deal with my frustration was to hunt that bitch down. So I drove by her house to see if her car was there, and it was. I parked and went in through the back door, down to the basement and into her room. there she was with Tony, and we got right down to business with some good old fashioned chick fighting:

I thought things would just go away and I would get over it, but it's been so long, and I haven't. I can't get him out of my head and there's nothing I can do to get things back the way they were.
